What is the difference between a TI and CDI stator on a Honda CX500 or GL500?

It can be hard to discern which type of stator you have if you aren't familiar with the models, or which stator a sales listing is for. What's the difference visually between a G47 and a G8 CX500 stator? Here's a pic that might help:



Keep in mind that if you have a CDI bike and want to run a G8 stator you must replace the ignition unit with an Ignitech or similar, otherwise your CDI module will not be receiving any power and your bike will not run! The G8 stator lacks the high voltage coils to power a CDI unit. In terms of the connectors, the TI G8 will only have the three yellow wires coming from it.
