Today's featured build is a military-themed build titled "The Major's Machine".

Kerry - a real life Major in the military - had fond recollections of the twisted twin from his youth and when it came time to retire from the Army thought it fitting to begin an Army Bike build. The chosen bike started life as a CX500B, and look where it is now:

Shortened frame at the rear, atop which sits a custom brown aged leather seat with green stitching (technically Olive Drab):

Perhaps unusually for a custom build - but quite fitting in this case, I feel - the airbox has been retained and the side covers matched to the tank's military green colour:

Bars are Ace Senior, and the gauges are CX stock gauges in a machined plate with LED idiot lights. A new temperature sender has been fitted which lights up a LED when things get too hot. Speaking of hot, the exhaust pipes are wrapped to the H-box:

Rocker covers have been polished, and after the above photos a star decal was applied to the tank:

After losing an estimated 70lb - around 32kg - in weight from the machine Kerry says that it feels a good deal more agile. His favourite modification has to be the seat - you won't see many like it, and it's apparently even reasonably comfortable.

His CX500 project now complete Kerry is now looking to move his attention elsewhere, but we're glad that he picked the Plastic Maggot to mark the end of his Army career!
