Honda CX500: Which colour wire leads to which side ignition coil (yellow and pink)?

The stock CDI (capacitor discharge ignition) unit has two wires - yellow and pink - leading to the ignition coils, sitting on either side of the bike's spin underneath the fuel tank. Which colour should lead to which side?
This one is a straightforward answer, assuming that nobody has fooled around with the wiring previously. Pink goes to the right coil, yellow to the left coil. It doesn't actually matter which side the coils are on - and it can be useful to swap them for troubleshooting purposes - but if you do swap them you will need to make sure that the pink wire from the CDI box still leads to the right side coil, and the yellow wire from the CDI box still leads to the left side coil.
