Today’s Featured Build from the list is Cafe Noir by Rough Stuff.

Kevin from Rough Stuff tells us that he lowered the tank and reshaped the seat with a goal of improving the bike’s lines, aiming for what he calls a unique “cafe racer” line – tracing down the tank and continuing into the seat:

The Reverse Comstar wheels have been re-done in gold and are shod in retro-looking tyres front and rear. There’s also a discreet brake light worked into the custom seat, and if there are indicators at the back I can’t find them:

Perhaps unusually the bike has retained the stock airbox, though the side covers have been ditched. The engine, water pipe, starter motor etc. have been painted in black gloss.

Pipe wrap (eBay US, eBay AU, eBay UK, eBay CA, Amazon) covers the 2-2 exhaust, which looks to even retain the H-box under the engine:

The dash has been cleaned up substantially, and the front forks dropped a fair way through the tree:

Be carfeful making suspension changes like that on your own cafe racer, it’s easy to make it unsafe. For more inspiration, check out the other builds on the list. For more Rough Stuff work, check out their site!
