Here's how to reinstall the pulse generator cover on a TI (Transistorised Ignition) Honda CX500, GL500, CX650 or GL650 motor. For this you will need a new gasket - part number 30373-MC7-306 (eBay US, eBay UK
, eBay AU
):
Make sure that both surfaces are clean of any old gasket material or anything else - the block and the face of the cover:
Install the gasket to the engine - you will need to thread the wires through the hole in the center:
Locate the cut-out in the cover for the rubber grommet around the wires:
Locate said grommet (need to reshoot this photo... bleh):
Install the grommet to the cover:
Install the crankcase ventilation tube and the six bolts and torque the bolts to 6-9ft/lb:
