Today's featured build comes from Kent in the United Kingdom and is based on a CX500E Sports platform:

There's plenty of custom work on this one! The owner Samantha liked the motor design of the CX range and wanted to show it off, having a custom exhaust hand-made to show as much of it from the side as possible. The rearsets are also custom pieces:

The gear shift lever on this particular bike has been bent out of round bar. Sharp eyes will notice that the rear disc brake arm is a one-off custom piece (image upper right). You can also see the oil temperature gauge in place of the usual filler cap on the left of the photo. The shock is a Wilber unit:

You can make out the HEL branded braided steel brake lines in the above photo. The whole frame has been gone over, rewelded and smoothed prior to painting - the vertical frame spars on either side of the shock area don't look that nice from the factory! The rear brake master cylinder is an aftermarket unit (Brembo PS12, eBay IT):

The wheels were split with the outside colour matched to the tank and the inside polished:

The front brake calipers were painted yellow and the front brake discs cross-drilled. The tyres are Dunlop K70s front and rear (eBay):

The fully rebuilt final drive unit has also been painted to match the tank:

The build name is on the side of the tank and references Samantha's business - Studio 26:

The bike's electrical system has been revamped - check out the tray under the seat for some neat wiring:

Note that the regulator/rectifier location is unusual - it's generally placed in an area where there is airflow to prevent overheating. Samantha had the electrical system re-done using a Motogadget M-unit (eBay) which you can see to the rear of the reg/rec, and the two little boxes are the ignition boxes for the TI motor (more info on that here). The ignition switch was relocated to be under the tank, and for gauges she is using a Daytona speedometer unit (eBay):

Bars are Renthal 756 (eBay). The front master cylinder is an Accossato radial aftermarket unit (eBay) and the grips are Rizoma (eBay):

The brake line setup at the front has been changed from a 1-2 with a splitter to two single lines coming from the master. The headlight is a Tri-LED model with a halo ring:

The left controls are rather different:

Blue is the horn button, yellow is ignition on, white is for the headlight and black may become a button for the indicators down the track.

As far as engine mechanical work goes, the motor has 26,000 miles on it when Samantha received it and she had it stripped down and rebuilt with new bearings and ported + skimmed heads. The carbs are stock with altered jetting to compensate for the foam filters and custom exhaust. Oh, and some uprated clutch springs (eBay) and new clutch plates (eBay) along with a new stator (eBay).
