How to remove the carburetor float bowls - Honda Super Dream

So you need to remove the float bowls on your Honda CB250 N (Super Dream or Super Hawk?) motorcycle. This could be for a number of reasons; to check or change the jets or as part of the carb cleaning process. The float bowls are at the bottom of the carburetors:

If the carbs have not been drained, hold them the right way up and loosen the drain screw with a flathead screwdriver to allow fuel to come out the drain:

Each is held in by three pan screws - 4x16mm, part number 93500-040160H (eBay US, eBay UK, eBay AU) with 4mm spring washers, part number 94111-04800 (eBay US, eBay UK, eBay AU). A good Phillips #2 should suffice to remove them:

The bolts, removed:

With the bolts removed the float bowl should simply lift off:

Now that the float bowl is off you can see the float, jets etc.:
