Checking the main fuse – Honda CB125E, GLH125SH

No electrical power on your Honda CB125E? Check your main fuse! To do this you need to remove the right side cover. Beneath that there’s a flap:

So, you’re looking at your battery and whatnot:

Crack it open to reveal the 20amp fuse:

This one is intact, as you can see above! Note that, as fuses get older – much older than they should be on these bikes at the time of writing – the fuses can crack rather than blow, giving you an erratic fault. This can be hard to see – if in doubt, try a known good one. Handily, Honda have provided a spare 20amp fuse in the other side of the plastic holder:

Re-use the good fuse or replace the blown one! If you’re having trouble getting the plastic holder to close, make sure you have the wire in the correct slot – there’s two, one of which it doesn’t fit so nicely in:
