Where is the engine serial number located? Honda CX500, GL500, CX650, GL650

It's on the left side of the engine, just in front of and below the dipstick:





This is useful for the stator test, and for determining which year your engine is! It's in the same location for all Honda CX400, CX500, CX650, GL400, GL500 and GL650 models.
