What size thread is the stock water temperature sender? Honda CX500, CX650, GL500, GL650

The standard temperature gauge has a sender which is located underneath the thermostat, between the engine heads. What thread size is it?

It's M16 x 1.5 thread. Adapters are readily available for most modern sizes of sender on eBay.
