One common modification for a Honda CX500 is to replace the stock mechanical fan with an electric one. How much does the stock fan weigh?
This one weighed
236gm. It's fairly unlikely that you'll see significant weigh savings by moving to an electrical fan setup, but the reduction in constant drag on the camshaft is going to be more beneficial than a slight reduction in fan weight!
