Honda CX500, GL500 - Removing the brake rotor or disc

This assumes that you have removed the front wheel. You need a 12mm socket and wrench.
This is done on a bike with dual discs.
Why change your rotors? Too thin or deeply grooved discs require replacement. Or perhaps you're upgrading/side-grading to drilled discs...

They might be a bit stuck, but nothing a long bar can't solve:
Bolts removed:
Once the bolts are out, you can slide it off the hub:
Watch out, it's probably heavier than you expect:
Somewhat dirty wheel, sans rotor:
All done!
