They're different! Based on the assortment I have (four CX650ED, twelve CX500 Standard/Shadow):
CX650 should have "ME2" inscribed in the H-box end:
The CX650 H-box end has a near-rectangular inner pipe - ~31mm high, ~22.5mm wide:
The CX500 header pipe has a round internal pipe, ~28.5mm in diameter:
The angle of the headers is different, as you can see when you put one directly on top of the other digitally:
