The cam chain is an area many CX500 owners are familiar with, even if only through having to make regular adjustments to the models with the manual tensioner.

Manual tensioner

This should be All 500s in the US, some other markets (e.g. Australia) have late model CX500s with the auto tensioner setup.

Auto tensioner

The auto tensioner should be in all CX650s and GL650s, and in some countries late model CX500s have the auto tensioner.
