A closer look at the spark plug caps - Honda CX500, GL500, CX650, GL650

The spark plug caps sit above the spark plugs (as you might expect), and connect the plugs to the high tension lead coming out of your ignition coils. On most CX and GLs they have a round rubber seal, and will look like this:



They can be removed by simply pulling upwards on the plastic piece at the top. The high tension lead should unscrew, and leave you with the L-shaped cap:
